Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Another pawn shop rescue, a 9 dot 1971 Case 4318hp, if it were not for the shrinkage on the white scales the rest of this knife is in mint condition.

I would like to share with you guys the moment a "couple of case knives" turned into a real case collection. Something I'm truly happy to own, enjoy, and has some sentimental value. Thank you to my new friend here on The Porch, Scott, for trading his beautiful Red Seahorse for my Barlow.

I won a beautiful Remer Stone Case knife in a GAW last year. The stockman my buddy from work said "Sale it & they money you get from it we'll go brag a burger". So I replied ''I'll just keep the knife & I'll buy lunch".

I recently received my first ever Case - an equal-end medium stockman in Salmon bone, which looked pretty terrible lol. I tried soaking it in tea, which did improve the looks some, but I eventually decided to try dyeing it. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, although it's difficult to capture the depth of color in a photograph. I like the pattern a lot and it arrived very sharp. My only complaint is that the closing action on the spey is extremely slugglish, even after flushing the joints. Not sure if there's a way for me to fix it.

Augie, 3 fantastic examples of how Case does bone so well. Locating them in such fine condition, awesome. Is the Barlow considered appaloosa?

Well Augie, all I can say is you're a very fortunate person to have found those. 3 of the best Case patterns ever and gorgeous to boot. Enjoy them my friend! -James

When my dad passed away in 1986 I inherited his pocket knives. Only 5 knives, Two Case, Two Colonial and a Schrade. Here are the two Case:

A 6207

And a M1051LSSP

What would I use to clean these up. The 6207 blades are stiff to open and close. The other works fine. Would WD40 hurt them??

^^^What a treasure! That 6207 is absolutely gorgeous! WD40 will work fine for trying to flush the joints and springs. I would then wash it with warm water and dawn, dry it with a hair dryer, then spray rubbing alcohol in it to help absorb the moisture. Dry again then oil the joints.

Here's my chestnut/CV soddy.

Found this 1972 Delrin 6214-1/2 last January. Pretty close to mint condition I think (no box). I like the size - 3-3/8", and relatively slim. I should start carrying it instead of trying to preserve it's nice condition.

So far my one and only Case, a new Mini Trapper w/ Bone Stag handles.

I recently scored a couple of used Case #75 large stockmen, a Leupold SFO in bonestag from 2008, and a chestnut bone from 1994.

A rare day off so thought I'd post some vintage red bone pre 80's case knives. Several 1940-1964 era and all others no older the 1976. Raised on CASE red bone and possess a special place in my heart for the drop dead gorgeous era red bones.

I have some others,. Big Jacks #6292's and others to post later, these were just handy for pictures today. I sold off so many over that last few years and am determined to rebuild my collection.

This BEAUTIFUL sway back Loom Fixer and medium Texas Jack (6232) were gifted to me from Duncan. The Loom Fixer has a neat Story as I traded it to ptradeco, aka Brad and then he sold it to Duncan and Duncan gifted it to me...THANK YOU. Duncan:thumbup: I had regretted trading the Loom Fixer away so I am so happy to have back.

The Loom Fixer and 1971 Case #6232, both in BEAUTIFUL red bone...

Nice collection of red bone Case knives, Paul! I have a soft spot for those myself.

Here's my (newer - 2013) canoe that started out as an amber bone cv. I didn't care for the amber bone color, and it didn't get a lot of pocket time. I recently gave it the Ritt dye treatment. I'm very happy with the result.
