Here's my (newer - 2013) canoe that started out as an amber bone cv. I didn't care for the amber bone color, and it didn't get a lot of pocket time. I recently gave it the Ritt dye treatment. I'm very happy with the result.

Good job MKA! Looks like Case's red-bone from the 70's. Very nice!

Thanks - I was inspired by others on this site to give it a try. Exceeded my expectations!

Really excellent dye job on that canoe. If you're so inclined, I'd love to see a step-by-step tutorial.

A rare day off so thought I'd post some vintage red bone pre 80's case knives. Several 1940-1964 era and all others no older the 1976. Raised on CASE red bone and possess a special place in my heart for the drop dead gorgeous era red bones.

I have some others,. Big Jacks #6292's and others to post later, these were just handy for pictures today. I sold off so many over that last few years and am determined to rebuild my collection.

This BEAUTIFUL sway back Loom Fixer and medium Texas Jack (6232) were gifted to me from Duncan. The Loom Fixer has a neat Story as I traded it to ptradeco, aka Brad and then he sold it to Duncan and Duncan gifted it to me...THANK YOU. Duncan:thumbup: I had regretted trading the Loom Fixer away so I am so happy to have back.

... BEAUTIFUL red bone...

That's just ... WOW! What ever moved Case to stop using this red bone colour?

I'm a sucker for jigged bone, but only for certain colours. I hardly fancy any modern Case knives due to the dies used and from what I saw on pictures it's quite a gamble, considering the shades and mathing shades. So far I have only one Case (another is on the way) - a chestnut bone peanut and love it. It's one of the rare colours I absolutely love on more modern Case knives. And the recent walnut bone, it looks nice as well. I guess I preffer earthy colours for my bones ...

A gift from a friend and member here on BFC, not really a knife but definitely Case related. :)

And here's a little peanut that lost it's shield and thanks to r8shell's inspiration I made a 10 minute replacement shield out do ivory veneer from an old piano key. (r8shell the veneer and ebony is packed and ready to go. :) )

Many years ago my Uncle bought him and my Grandpa matching Case knives. When Grandpa passed away I got his knife.

A few Here... In this order:
1) Toenail Case Brothers 1900~1912
2) Rope Knife WWI 1914~1919
3) Case Scout 1920~1940

Just received my first older Case knife,
and I really like the strong back springs and the well defined stops of the blades.
