Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Paul, that Case really is a good looking knife. I love the dark brown color. I feel like you don't really see consistently dark color like that on jigged bone nowadays.

Thanks Barrett, CASE just did things right with their vintage knives (1978) & earlier in my opinion. Pinned shield, great jigging and color and for the most part wonderful fit and finish:thumbup:

I think this contains all of my Case knives (with the exception of one fixed blade).

Unpopular opinion time: I think I might like Case's Beer Trappist more than GEC's Beer Scout.

Edit- I'm ashamed that I forgot about one of my newest and most elegant Case knives: my ebony Teardrop.

Shawn, is your Case the Amber Bone that you dyed darker? It looks great! The only thing I wish Case would have done with those is use a longer, leaner cap lifter like the one on the Beer Scout. I just think it would have fit the pattern better.

Thanks, Barrett! Yeah, it's an Amber Bone that I dyed with a combination of Cherry Red and Dark Brown RIT dyes. I do agree about the GEC caplifter having a better shape, but I much prefer the fact that I can open the Case caplifter without destroying my nail. I also think that the frame ergonomics with the blade closed makes the Case a bit more comfortable than the GEC.

I would love to try one of the Beer Trappers. I think it would be a great option to pair with my Peanut.

Great collection of Sowbellies, Mike! That one in Bone Stag with the Federal shield looks to be a winner. Case's Bone Stag can be hit or miss, but it looks like your's has great character!

Yeah I like mine a lot. Much cheaper than the beer scout and stainless. I saw no reason to pay a heck of a lot more for the GEC and I also preferred stainless rather than 1095 for a cap lifter.

GREAT CASE knives old and new everyone:thumbup:

Colin, great dye job on your Trapper Scout:cool:

Here's a circa 1920-1940 CASE Pruner with the best looking indian trial, jigged bone covers I've ever owned. SOLID, near full blade, steel liners and amazing Snap:thumbup:

I have several Case medium stockman knives, but this particular 6318 may be my favorite. Pocket worn old red bone in stainless. I like the regular clip blade on it versus my yellow cv 6318. Everything on this knife is very shiny and classy. It will be in my pocket for a while.
