Thanks for sharing this lovely!!

All these beautiful knives…I just sit and stare. My husband laughs at me - kind of. He's not really into traditionals, so he doesn't really get it. Just got this one from Evan. Loving it.

Hopefully it won't be my last mammoth.
Have a great day everyone!

Jone, that's a very unique slab on mammoth. It has an almost wood grain appearance in the right light, how cool!

Thanks, and yes, you're right. It does have almost a wood grain appearance.

I remember seeing this one, it's a beaut. Finally got a few pictures of mine.

Wow. Thought I liked the yellow bone until yours popped up. What a beauty!

I really like that one too. The patterns on each knife were very different and each was amazing in it's own way. Looking at that batch of knives really highlights the material since they all look great, but are so unique.

What a great looking bunch in this thread  Thanks all around. I want to pick up a northwoods 48 with mammoth covers soon, and the pics here give me a better sense of the range of variations with this material.

Love this combo. Do you have any pics of it closed? I'm curious to see how the spey sits with the ez open notch.

Here it is closed. Easy to carry because the blade sits so low. Can be pinched open or opened by the nail nick even though it isn't centered in the EO notch. Evan did a great job making this one perfect for me. I'm really enjoying the combo.

Thanks! I like the character in the pile side scale, too. Really gives you the sense of the wooly it came from!

You're welcome. Evan said he tried to keep as much of the character as he could. I love that part too! Just feels like mammoth should be rustic and a little marred to me.

Just picked this up on the exchange. A William Rodgers in some pretty Ivory.

Best regards

Robin

The postman was very good today. Got this little fella and a goldenrod micarta 33 when he rolled thru!

My only ivory knife. It looks like she's destined to be alone.

Very nice! Some great looking Mammoth on that one! What do you think of the 66 Slim pattern overall?
Thanks. This is the second one I bought. I have the yellow bone as well and love them both. Great size and weight to carry. Extremely useful. My daughter already put dibs on the "yellow rose one" because she thinks it is pretty! But, this is a great pattern. I'm very pleased.

Congratulations!
Thanks. Now, what to carry?

There's quite a herd in this thread. More beautiful knives than you can shake a ivory stick at!

Christian, that Northwoods is gorgeous. I was tempted by one of those too. Glad to see it have such beautiful company (i.e. those 1911 grips).
