Lets talk GEC!

Well, that's what it is! Actually makes no difference as these type of knives are completely legal here, but apparently certain types in American P.O.s are completely convinced that all European countries prohibit knife imports, that's officiousness for you:D:confused:

Am I the only one who would love to see GEC do a knife with an acrylic handle with the U.S. Flag?

I was thinking they might actually do it when they came out with their American Jack pattern. It might be a good one for a holiday: Memorial/Flag/Independence Days, Pearl Harbor Day...

They did several knives in "Patriot" Acrylic in 2008 I believe. Red, White and Blue Perylic actually.

I said I was done for awhile.........then it only took me about 5 seconds to reverse myself after seeing the green camel bone on the Northwoods #44's!

I'd love to see some comparison shots showing how thick that thing is when you get it. Looks like it's going to be a beast.

I so wish they had made single blade Madisons with that big spear point. I would have bought one of each!

Has anyone heard what style clip point is going to be on the next run of 77 Barlow's? I'm really hoping it will be like the long pull clip point Charlow's but my guess is that it won't be.

Considering that Mike posted this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...e-pull-on-a-barlow?highlight='poll+long+pull' I'm betting they will be long pulls, except the wharncliffes. He also posted another thread asking about favorite handle materials and the offered handle materials of this run are congruent with the main choices of that thread.

Of course, I could be completely wrong. This will be best answered by Knifeswapper!

According to one of the first Barlow emails I received they are going to be like the clip blade on the Washington Jack SFO with the same long pull and swedge.

Long pull on the sheepfoot and clip; nickel silver liners/pins on all.

yeah, I was staring at the page for 'em on your website and my sodbuster Jr. bit me out of jealousy... Are they all spoken for?

Which other GEC knives use nickel silver liners? I've only heard of brass and steel.... all my users currently have brass liners.

This is what I was thinking they would look like. I knew they were going to be long pulls I was just curious about the swedge more than anything. Regardless I'm am really excited to be on the list for a sawcut red bone clip.
