Lets talk GEC!

Here's my group of 15s. Missed out on the Sepias of Charlie's sadly. Of course this could change if they announce another 15 that is interesting...

The " Boys " on the far right is as nice as iv'e seen. That wood is special.

I know there are a few out there without, but I feel like the majority of the coco boys knives all have burn marks around the center pin. I can’t imagine they’re using a different process from what they’ve done in the past so it makes me wonder if cocobolo is more susceptible to burning quicker than other woods? I added a shield, but here’s mine...

I think your addition of the shield looks great .

Not in a commercial sense, no. They could produce wooden-bladed knives with covers of stabilized dog turd right now and people would buy them. That's just not my cup of tea.
I think you may be exaggerating a wee bit.

There are still a few of the less popular/larger run patterns in stock on some sites.

The Cambridge Dictionary has a more contemporary meaning A man who is over concerned with his clothes or appearance.

A Fop. I have never heard that expression before. But i like it:D, and it is in the memory bank for future reference.;):).

according to Niles on "Frasier", that would be a "popinjay".... :D

edit: although, I really like "fop".... it's more descriptive, in my mind.

That urban jack is something else. Well Bill's plan was to have knives sit on the shelves for 30 to 40 days so maybe his master plan of achieving this goal is to make some crazy off the wall designs that might be not be as sought after. So we might have to expect many more combs. I might have to start growing a mustache.

Always thought fop was a pretty dated term for a dandy which is also quite dated.

On knife discussion

Is there a common method used for keeping those bolsters shiny? Apart for always using a slip. Maybe periodically using flitz?

These are definitely different. But, I doubt that they sit on any sites shelves. These are gonna sell just as quick as every GEC drop. I bet you will see em on the auction site for wayyy more than the retail price.
