Lets talk GEC!

Here's an image I found on AAPK of a similar shaped shield that Schrade put on a knife for FFA. This was in the vein of my wishful thinking, but we've never seen them come back and add engraving after assembly. The shields always get pinned having already been stamped.

I think the "coat of arms" is the path that they are on, however you are correct once assembled there will be very little if any changes.

I’m probably wrong, but when I try to zoom in on the shield shield, it looks like something had been blurred out. Perhaps there already is some engraving there and they are simply masking it for suspense. Either way, I’m looking forward to seeing what’s to come!

I think you are absolutely right about this. They're playing tricks. There is something on those shields. The shields are almost white, and completely uniform in the pics, no sheen of metal. Definitely photo-shopped

My guess at shield design is there's a big X in the middle with the other letters unXld around it. If that makes sense. That's what I'm imagining here.

Sarcastic Camillus comb comment in t-10... 9...

I don’t know folks- I think what we see is what we get regarding the Northfield shield. I don’t know why they’d hold back, unless it’s just for laughs. If they wanted to keep the shield a secret I think they’d take pains to obstruct our view of it in all photos, and thus make the kettle boil faster with obvious obfuscation.

Sometimes I think this thread is akin to a group of ghost hunters with Camillus chiming in every few days to comment on combs.

My guess is those are just white stickers on the actual knives. Seems more practical.
