Lets talk GEC!

Finally got my #5's, one of each. USPS had them for a month, opened multiple times then Canada Post kept them to inspect for a while too. Luckily no damage and they weren't lost with the delays. Have to say this was a low effort from Gec, as far as finishing is concerned anyway. I had to drop the kick on my sheepsfoot, and looks like they glued a crack in the stag on my pen knife and forgot to sand and polish it after. There was a mess of what appeared to be dried superglue on it.
Luckily it only took a few minutes to finish both but was surprised to see that from gec.
Other than those issues they both seem really nice. Good walk and talk, both perfectly centered.

Is the 2 bladed 73 small enough for pocket carry, or would a sheath be better?

I would only carry it in something like this which takes up my whole pocket anyway. I don't think it's too big, but the Remington version is quite heavy compared to the wood. In something like the below pocket organizer, the weight is more supported and not annoying in the pocket.

I was thinking today...
When a knife releases, I get bored with it quickly.
I mean you see a whole bunch of us posting pictures of it singing its praises.

But then...
Several months (or years) down the road somebody posts a picture of it again and i get all excited to see it.
I guess I just like knives that aren't the "new biggest thing" or the current "must have"... I like individuality I guess.
I like the fact that somebody liked that knife enough to carry it instead of the new, whizzy-cool, knife of the day.
Truth…but I may or may not be drunk. I’ll let you know tomorrow.

The Baby bullet is 10 grams heavier than the Rosewood Scout I have.

They’re pretty similar. The most noticeable difference is the top bolster on the #78 is more rounded than the #77. Here’s a photo showing similar examples side-by-side (top to bottom: #85, #78, #77).

Thanks, I appreciate it

According to something I just learned from Peregrin Peregrin in another thread, I would assume that the top two knives are cams, and the bottom one has half-stops. Is that correct?

Nope, those all have half stops.

From Kerry's post:
Keep in mind, with slip joints, there are exceptions that defy generalizations BUT this generalization works most of the time.
I guess this is one of those exceptions! :)
