Mike, I happened to have acquired a #651112 Ben Hogan lockback with Genuine Stag with an inlaid shield? The guy I bought this from said it originally came from you? Do you have any recollection of this knife? Beautiful stag, blade etched Genuine Stag and identified as such on the tube. It indeed looks to be a rare bird?

Looks like only 13 were made and it says they were Serialized too .

I probably wouldn't remember that story if it was last month - I got no chance at 2012.

This one doesn't have the end cap unfortunately.

My first thought was that looks awesome! But then looking at the pics I think the pen would be very uncomfortable to use because the sheep sits so high when closed. Makes it a pass for me, sadly.

the are so many talented modders, you can have one built to specifications and desires. Especially the 86 where they put the code on the pen blade. Im eagerly awaiting my modified 85 and 86 atm. The 2019 bladeforums was the perfect as the single blade so besides the bladeforum 21, I dont think Ill be getting many of this 86 run.
 
I love the name and the distinction on the coloration between light and dark. Not a big 2 blade guy so I'll just sit here impatiently asking if I've missed the forum knife ordering yet.
