  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Lets talk GEC!

The new covers make it more interesting.
But still "no" on the big square butts... just not comfortable for me.
I wish everybody luck in trying to land some of these.

As long as it was a Barehead with a rounded butt, ya I could see it... but that would change the pattern.
Sort of, kind of. I mean, there are lambsfoots with end caps, and that cool little space knife lambsfoot isn't rounded. It would be a variation on the pattern, to be sure, but not unwarranted, I think.

I usually feel this way. The gunstock #44 had that problem for me, until I got one blade-deleted and recovered in micarta and it is one of my favorites now. Sometimes it is about how well the edges are contoured. But, in the main, NOT a comfortable option.

I wish there were other Tidioute options, as that’s usually my preference over Northfield (although there are certainly exceptions). That sheepsfoot in particular would be a nice little knife in the Muslin Micarta GEC uses sometime, or Natural Canvas.

I wonder how good this one was before assembly?

I don't dislike it too much, smooth Stag could get character. It's the one at the bottom that's the bottom :D

I've had some "bad" luck with stag draws these last two years. Lucky to get any, of course, but two of them were kinda mismatched and paper thin in places.
