Jiki, I have that same knife. It's very classy and classic. Had someone offer me a decent buck for it, and I said NOPE! Always one of my favorites. The American Jack is patriotic enough for me.

It looks tacky, like something from a souvenir shop.Easy pass for me. I just can't bring myself to buy a commercial product sporting the stars and stripes. To me, it's always just felt grimy to profit off of patriotism. Meh, my wallet could use a break anyways. With my luck, they blindside us with some different cover options I won't be able to resist, lol.
I'm really liking the pattern parity GEC has been doing though. #49/#94, #68/#86, #47/#74, etc. I wonder how long they'll keep it up. They starting to run out of interesting pairs, lol. I've noticed there are several numbers not yet added to their inventory numbering system though, like a #41. It'd be pretty cool to see a #14 with a new surprise #41 pattern or something pop up.
Looks like me when I go to my mailbox and there is a GEC inside.
Souvenir shop nostalgia coupled with GEC quality. It looks tacky, like something from a souvenir shop.
I agree, I think most people would've preferred wood/micarta or even plain acrylic. If I do end up getting one it'll be a novelty item and not something I'd ever carry. It looks tacky, like something from a souvenir shop.
I was worried I would be told to get me coat for speaking out.I agree, I think most people would've preferred wood/micarta or even plain acrylic. If I do end up getting one it'll be a novelty item and not something I'd ever carry.
though as we all know even if we dont like it it will end up being one that costs a small fortune when re sold.Yeah… my wallet is happy there’s one I can sit out on without a shade of regret!
Well the funny thing about pocket knives is that you can be pretty sure you despise a pattern, and then you read something, or see a pretty picture, or just wake up on the other side of the bed one morning, and all of a sudden it gets into your head that that pattern (the one you turned your nose up at for years) is actually perfect, the cat’s meow, the answer to all your questions, etc. Then you have the very dickens of a time trying to find one.though as we all know even if we dont like it it will end up being one that costs a small fortune when re sold.
My guess is there will be another 1-2 releases, as there's typically releases in late December if memory serves. Hopefully this is an appropriate response. Are these likely the final two releases in 2021?
Sorry !!Also, it's always best practice not to feed a troll.
