I'm really liking the pattern parity GEC has been doing though. #49/#94, #68/#86, #47/#74, etc. I wonder how long they'll keep it up. They starting to run out of interesting pairs, lol. I've noticed there are several numbers not yet added to their inventory numbering system though, like a #41. It'd be pretty cool to see a #14 with a new surprise #41 pattern or something pop up.

Well the funny thing about pocket knives is that you can be pretty sure you despise a pattern, and then you read something, or see a pretty picture, or just wake up on the other side of the bed one morning, and all of a sudden it gets into your head that that pattern (the one you turned your nose up at for years) is actually perfect, the cat’s meow, the answer to all your questions, etc. Then you have the very dickens of a time trying to find one.

Then you become a bit more savvy, and to try to head this ugly situation off at the pass, you start buying knives -just because they are available now- with the idea that you’d sure hate to want one in a couple of years (“and besides, I can always sell it later for close to what I paid for it” you rationalize to yourself) and pretty soon you have dozens and dozens of knives.

That being said, I personally have never been keen on little single blades, so I feel pretty sure I won’t be suddenly pining for one in a few months. And the covers? Well, I appreciate the sentiment, but not on my knife. My dad barely tolerated my Boy Scout uniform having a flag on it, so knife covers? He’d be rolling in his grave if I bought one. 🤣
 
Maybe they could attach a 94 scale to a 49 scale, make it a two blade and call it the “Crazy Trapper”?

I am hoping for orange jig bone and any color camel bone excepting blue!
