Just feels better in hand IMO. Which is very odd for me as I will nearly always prefer a jigged bone over wood. Also with the cut swedge on the NF it’s hard to get a good pinch grip on the main to open it. The Tidi has no swedge and I easy to pinch open. Also the shield is better on the tidi. It’s a minimal difference but noticeable in practice for me.Why do you think bloodwood is the winner? Thanks
Man how cool would that have been?Because they didn't do stag.![]()
who makes that slip?Really like both of these, same pattern but they feel very different to me. However, gotta give the nod to the Owl.View attachment 1693263
Nice! I like them a lot. Definitely understand about wanting to keep it a casual pursuit.I make them... however, I do not sell them.
I make them for a few friends and I give one away every month in a GAW, that will continue through January.
I'm just like GEC, I create demand and scarcity.![]()
Surprisingly, I'm on the other side on this one. I pick the Pony. I typically prefer double ended patterns over jacks , and EDC several. For some reason the Owl and I didn't click from the time I took it out of the tube.Really like both of these, same pattern but they feel very different to me. The pony with the all steel construction and simple design is strong and classy looking. Stag is my favorite handle material, but this coco just looks rich. To each their own I guess. Variety is the spice of life.
Thank you very much.I always notice these in your photos — they look great.

Well, it saddens me to point out that you guys are clearly wrong on this point. Besides the obvious superior features of the Owl, I challenge you guys to try and find a brass pony bead!I agree with you on preference for the pony. I believe I’m on day 27 of this one riding in my pocket, while my WO currently looks on from the sidelines. Both great knives, and when I finally get around to the owl we’ll see if my attitude changes!

Don't sit on that owl. That would hurt.I do…it just goes in a slip first.
