Thx. Gotta hunt down one.I don't think GEC has, but Case did their 54 trappers in CV and Tru-sharp, with one blade marked "For Flesh Only." I can't remember if it was the stainless or carbon one.
That makes a lot of sense to me.Case also makes a stockman with CV blades and a stainless punch...

That's some fine looking osage. Not to take away from the Barlow talk but I did just get in a user #18 - I had forgotten that the #19 is a reversed #18. Pretty cool little knife - barehead, hound tooth shield, Osage and it also came with a cool Coyote button.

According to Randy they are not an exact flip. He tried but had to adjust the 19 a smidge to make it work. Not to take away from the Barlow talk but I did just get in a user #18 - I had forgotten that the #19 is a reversed #18. I agree it's hard to spot with the make eye. I will ask him some time.Interesting. I am curious where the tweaks are - lining up the frames with the blades out, I am having a hard time seeing where the differences are. I wonder if they are internal.
He had to move the holes to fit the blade correctly. Something not usually required to reverse a frame. The small size and shape made it necessary.Interesting. That would be amazing.I sure would love to see a round of the 98's again. We all dream.
The osage 18 is a handsome knife, handy too I imagine. That one would see a lot of time in the watch pocket were it in my collection.
