Is there a 12-step program for this??
I think you mean Chapter 13, Title 11, United States Code, governing personal bankruptcy. If you're lucky, the judge is a member of the traditional forum, and you get to keep your knives.
So, let's tote up the damage, shall we?
I come to the Traditionals forum a bit over a week ago to find out about picking up a good quality Scout knife. As I'm perusing the threads I see people mentioning this "GEC" that I've never heard of. This intrigues me, so I start digging to learn more. Before you know it, I've forgotten all about the Scout knife I came here to buy and instead get the urge to own a GEC.
Three GEC knives later, I'm teetering on the edge of addiction (but can quit any time I want, really) only to learn about this brand new pattern coming up called the "Beer Scout". I don't drink beer, but I do drink lots of root beer, often have need of both the caplifter and screwdriver blade at the end of the caplifter, AND I like bails - which is reminiscent of the Scout knife I originally wondered about, which to my mind makes it completely logical to purchase.

Python, you don't need no steenking program. Buy yourself a nice Victorinox Pioneer that has all the tools you want (and so much more) at a fraction of the cost of this Beer Scout beast (and the fraction I'm talking about is considerably below 1). Problem solved, addiction avoided, plenty of cash remaining for root beer floats all summer long! Paradise![]()
Already have TONS of SAKs. Carried one in my pocket for more than 20 years.
Now what??
Oh, I didn't know that I think you should consider getting yourself into a 12-step program.
(Are you looking to divest yourself of any SAKs to finance your new addiction?)
They have all the lengths listed in the section with all the different pics of the patterns.Question: being a newb to GEC, I'm still not conversant with the various patterns and their sizes. In my marathon website surfing, somewhere I saw a list that had all of the patterns and their lengths. Didn't think I'd need that, but now that I do I can't find it again! I checked the GEC site but if it's there it's well hidden.
Can someone point me in the right direction?

If there is a 12 step program, you won't find it here.
Maybe you can start a thread listing all the pattern #'s and sizes for all of us. Kind of like this list of GEC knives that have or do not have half stops. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ist-of-GEC-knives-and-if-they-have-half-stops
So you want me to enable you?
Sounds legit.
