Indeed, I'd recommend getting that Forum 14 knife for a very good openerI feel inadequate- I have no GEC shielded stag. I gotta fix that.
I have only one GEC in stag, but it's a good one, with a shield!

Mine should be here tomorrow…I think I’m going to take the tool off and put it in the tube with the pin. I like the slip, but honestly don’t know what the little tool’s intended purpose is.The new Johnny on the Spot slips looks sweet! Cool that they come with a little tool.![]()
Historically, I haven't really been able to get the hang of carrying a knife in a slip, but I'm gonna give it another shot in the interest of keeping the JotS as nice as possible for as long as I can.Mine should be here tomorrow…I think I’m going to take the tool off and put it in the tube with the pin. *edit…ok, I looked. It’s a bike tool, something I definitely don’t need so I’ll definitely be putting it in the tube.
I’ve learned to appreciate a slip because in my experience they tend to keep a knife more upright in my pocket. A folder laying sideways in the bottom of my pocket irritates me.Historically, I haven't really been able to get the hang of carrying a knife in a slip, but I'm gonna give it another shot in the interest of keeping the JotS as nice as possible for as long as I can.
I'm sure the Texdel is durable as can be tho. Maybe won't age as well as bone or stag, but I like it anyway. Classic scout knife stuff.
