Thank you so much, unfortunately I am no stranger to spendy rabbit holes - jazz LPs, watches, cameras, custom bicycles. All incredibly useful and rewarding hobbies, but always pricey.

You should put your email down on some distributors email list that is always a good chance to get on drops. Also, sticking around here watching the exchange is also a good way to land some GECs at great prices.

Thank you! Already noticed some sellers on here for GECs that are more reasonable than Ebay.

Iā€™m willing to put in the time/work for it. Totally recognize that Iā€™m a newcomer and need to work my way through the system. There were/are others before me who have done the same.

Sorry I missed your post in my quotes! Great to see that there is another Brooklynite in the house. Itā€™s funny, Iā€™m in a 75 unit building in Prospect Heights and I noticed that someone else in our building had a package yesterday for Finch Knives (donā€™t know them) and I was like, ā€œGreat Iā€™m not alone!ā€

I was kind of hoping that the pruner would be less attractive to people.

and you like watches and custom bicycles! if you ever see some one putting their watch on the table and several knives for a quick edc picture, it might be me!

Donā€™t want to go to far off topic, but when I mention custom bicycles, my latest is a hand-built steel frame from right here in Brooklyn - Horse Cycles. And Thomas also does knives. I bought a steel blade off of him to add my own handle to. Still looking at wood types for that!

I wonder what happened with that supposed-to-be-next-Remington bad looking Barlow from Bear&Son? Was that a prototype which was discarded due to the low quality or something?
