Lets talk GEC!

Though the last cover doesn't say "Shipping today", it says just "Shipping", which probably a hint that a long no-update period is in progress.
The chechen samplers are already being dropped by the dealers. So we are in a quiet stretch.

What a weird thing, I wished GEC to make 7711 Barlow, they made 7721, wished for Remington Barlow on 77 frame, they made a new frame, wished for just a regular 25, they made this... Like almost what I was hoping for, but not really, lol. This 25 is a weird thing. But with coolest handle materials!

HANDLE MATERIAL:

  • RED SAWCUT BONE
  • MEXICAN BOCOTE WOOD
  • BAR GLOW ACRYLIC
  • CORAL CANVAS MICARTA
  • COCOBOLO WOOD
  • OSAGE ORANGE

Is this real life?
Did GEC sell out to Rough Rider?
What is this monstrosity they are trying to pawn off as a knife and why did they use a bunch of actually cool handle material on this hot garbage?

Not everything needs a cap lifter and high in that list is the primary blade… I blame this on the caplifter stream media.

Those 25s look pretty interesting, but I'd much prefer a dedicated opener that also can serve as a flathead screwdriver. That gives the knife much more utility. Also that blade opener combo takes away a lot of usable blade. Looks interesting but I'll probably remain on the sidelines for this run.

Odd knife but I don’t have a 25 so that combined with the handle options means I’ll probably try to snag one. The acrylic, micarta, and Osage are the ones that will tempt me.
