Bring back the 15's!

... or anything with a punch,

better yet, a 15 with a punch!

... throw in some locking 15 single blades too!!

better yet, bring back all sorts of configurations of the 15's in SFO's and hook up Bladeforums with a stainless locking 15 in elk for 2023 forum knife :p

Okay, that's the end of my wish list for today.
 
Why couldn’t we just see a whole year of patterns that haven’t been run in the last 8 years or so? That way nearly everything would be fresh. That would be fantastic. Instead of waiting around for only another 15, 71, 86, 77, tc caplifter blah blah blah to show up on the “production schedule”. Sure a lot of folks would be ready for 76’s, 16’s, 57’s, 45’s, 61’s, 09’s.

I mean isn’t that the reason the secondary is so high on those? Because they are old and haven’t been seen in a while.
 
As a neophyte to the traditional game, I surely wish it was easier to acquire new GEC releases. The three I own are fantastic, and there are several patterns I would love to acquire, but the odds of me doing so are slim indeed.

I have some ideas on how to address the issue but not a single one of them is porch-, nor family-, friendly.

My official reply is "me too!"

Need this.

Traditional pipe knife from GEC would be great. GEC has a hook on their bird knife, in the past I've thought it would be easy enough for GEC to chop off the end and use that as a reamer. I think it was the calf pen that had a flat end screwdriver tool coming off of it. Use that concept as a tamper.

I’m relatively new (2019) to GEC as well, and the 15 with a single sheep’s foot is probably my most desired pattern right now; but I understand that for some, it has been done a lot - the 15, not necessarily the sheepsfoot As that appears to be limited.

I also would love a 15 with a lambsfoot single blade. I’ve come close to wanting to blade delete my 88, but I can’t bring myself to.

What about another 15 harness jack - but a lambsfoot and a punch (or awl)?
 
I genuinely enjoy this thread the most in the time between pattern releases. It's when I get to learn about models completely new to me that I didn't know I needed to have. It's likely not wholly intentional, but the way GEC releases patterns, as well as the diversity of their past releases, has led me to learn more about pocket knives than I could have ever expected. I mean, there was a time when my only non-kitchen knife was a rusty box-cutter in the junk drawer. Kinda like Homer said, now I have three knives and no money. Why can't I have no knives and three money?

I never thought about how I'd take a photo of it actually glowing and actually looking good. You'll have to take my word for it that it glows for now.

edit: success, although I don't know what that tiny black speck is on the acrylic - it came like that and I haven't been able to wipe it off but it hasn't gotten any worse since.
