The perspective of the pics can be deceiving, but to me the opened blade in the last photo looks more like a spear from a 54 than a 35. Look at the distance from the long pull to the tip of the blade. The 35's look shorter to my eyes. I've never handled a 53 or 54 but I'd assume the blades would be similar in size.

The larger equal end knives from GEC confuse me sometimes. When is a #54 a #53, and when is a #53 a "Cuban"??

Again I will say this looked like an innocent question last week.

It wasn't. I think they added it to confirm that "Gold Mine" is about the rendezvous.

We already covered this. It used to be kitschy and undesirable, but then they put it on a TC Barlow and now it’s considered a premium and sought after handle material.
