Reminds me if the good ole days of sub $100 GEC Tidioutes.

Different times I guess, GEC could slap a blade between two cow pies and people would line up to pay any price now!

I for one am glad it’s not a whittler, I don’t feel bad sitting this one out.

No Speaker Jack? I regret not keeping mine from 2017.

I was looking for this pattern from any manufacturer for quite some time. Finally landed a Fight'n Rooster at a good price just a few weeks ago that I'm getting recovered. So, I honestly don't know what to think On one hand, I'd love another speaker jack release and would have to pick one up. On the other hand, it would be my luck that after finally getting this pattern in a Fightin' Rooster knife, GEC would do a release!

Aside from a speaker jack, the only other knife I've been holding out for from GEC is a 761324 Reverse Gunstock Medium Stockman with clip/sheepsfoot/pen. Notice the 24? Yea... I'm maybe too hopeful they'll do that release this year

I’m kind of relieved that they only have the Whip and the Clerk listed, as I don’t really care for either of those (not a big wharncliffe fan, with a few exceptions). I’d be much more tempted to buy another #13 Whittler or Speaker Jack (and since I really need to reserve some knife funds for two upcoming knife shows in the next few months, I’m sure they’ll announce those shortly).



I was a bit disappointed in the Office Knife #13s. The laser etch (I assume that’s how they did the handles) didn’t look like it was done very well. It looked pixelated, for lack of a better term.

The OKCA knife from the same run looks much different.

These Richlite Barlows are extremely nice. Had I not known of the handle material, I definitely would have thought it was dyed bone.

Wish they made it in totorise shell acrylic instead of richlite. I am not even a big fan of it, but I clearly see how good it would look on this exact configuration. We definitely could use some tortoise more often. Right waverave ?

I’ve found cocobolo darkens over time anyway, especially if any bright light contacts with it.

Anyone have experience with the 13 whip before? I'm curious know if the blade on the previous runs were pinchable or not. Obviously the springs on this run could be different, just wondering in general.

The one I picked up last month has a fairly soft spring so I can't imagine it wouldn't be. I will check it tonight after work.

Cool thanks Jim. Figure with the deer in the down the hall picture theyre gonna have some sort of antler scales, could be a cool desk knife...along with all my other desk knives.
