Lets talk GEC!

I got my cocobolo 88 yesterday. It is very nice. I had been kicking myself for the past few years for not getting one from the 2022 run.

My example is really nicely made, but also full of buffing compound etc. ive been flushing the joint a bunch and the walk and talk is improving.

My dad flew a P-47N in the Pacific during WWII as bomber escort and destroying ground targets. He loved to talk about his time in the Army Air Corps.
My elementary school library had a book titled "Great American Fighter Pilots of WWII". This is where I learned about ETO pilots like Francis Gabreski, Hub Zemke and Robert S. Johnson, all of the 56th Fighter Group, aka, the Wolf Pack. These men, along with the Cactus Air Force pilots of the SW Pacific and the RAF pilots in the Battle of Britain were real heroes.

Am guessing these two are quite a find..?
They're not mine - part of a collection I am selling on behalf the widow of American collector in UK.
Have done some Googling, but little I can find.
They are a matched pair.

Yes, quite a find for sure. I'm not sure about the popularity of the pruning blade, but the #56 pattern is sought after. I would think easily north of $300 apiece.
