If I'm going to put my joe kenda cap on I'm going to need more information like dates, times and if and what delivery service was used, were there cameras at any of the points along the route used to transport the knives, but here is what's bothering me,if your a gec collector you must know that the tube is 5/10nth's of the law and specifically why the 88,as kenda would say when nothing makes sence it's always the the simplest explanation ,in this case no pun intended but we're the knives forgotten to be put in.

In case there is hidden RFID tags in the
All joking aside they probably just dumped them out thinking some kind of serial number in or on the tube because I doubt someone at gec folded wax paper in the shape of the knife and put it in a tube,I've had customs open my knives and then just throw them in the box and when I get them after going from warm to -40 at my mailbox the knives have black spots everywhere from sweaty hands at customs.

I would like to see gec do a pattern with a marlin spike,I think it would be a nice change and interesting pattern
And a useful tool for those who use knots in daily life. Though I'd love to have something like a harness jack with a small spike secondary instead of an awl for that purpose, rather than a traditional marlin spike pattern knife. In fact, I wanted to make exactly that myself when I still got that knifemaking fuel burning in me, but it didn't progressed too far, eh. Still got some liners, spacer, bolsters and handle slabs that I made, somewhere.

I'd like that.
I have used an awl to untie knots. It works okay, if it isn't too sharp edged.

A sailor knife, with either the 15 rope knife blade and a spike or maybe based on a larger pattern. Either way with a bail, stainless I’d like it in a bright color textured Delrin orange, nitebright, or a wood that can stand up to salt water. Photo stolen from the internet.

Believe it or not, this one is not Ebony. It is Cocobolo.

17635860554899101696310970276336.jpgthe color looks ebony but the grain looks cocobolo, but I don't have a vast selection of ebony or African blackwood so not sure but I have found cocobolo has the nice pitting in the grain (I'm sure there is another name for it)not that I don't appreciate smooth ebony such as this one.
