Lets talk GEC!

I'm curious about these myself, Alan. I've been looking for a stainless, thin stock knife to use as a steak knife, and those H732s are looking pretty sweet. Even if they are 1095, I still may have to pick one up.

The H73 is more of a hunting knife . GEC makes a steak knife( steak1) in stainless . I checked at one dealer and they are still available

Correct. I thought the dealer I know is a forum approved dealer, but I can't find them, so PM incoming with the link.

Anyone else excited about the DLT Trading Mustang? I usually like smooth bone better than jigged and can't wait to see what the orange camel bone ends up looking like. :)

Yeah, it should be cool. I imagine it'll be in the same ballpark as the orange camel 83s KSF did earlier this year. I'm thinking the snakewood will be a looker as well. I'm also looking forward to seeing the clips. Rob Bixby's Northfield SFO with satin blades (they'll be up for pre-order on CK.net) sounds intriguing.

I pre-ordered a DLT 74 in snakewood, hoping for a nice slab - all the other snakewood GECs I've seen made the decision pretty easy! Wish I had funds available to grab one of Rob's SFOs too. I wonder if the clip point will be similar to that of the latest batch of 77s...

I think most of the 73 Hunters in production are 1095. Close inspection of the pictures of the blades and you can read the Titusville on the stampings. Not Cyclops of the SS.

Thanks , I've watched a few of his videos . Think I'm sold on the corset shield . Hope the clip isn't too muskrat though .

I would guess it's a standard clip, especially because the other 74s on CK are listed specifically as muskrats...

Yeah, he said it's going to be flat ground with a nail nick and cut swedge. Even if they do technically call it a muskrat, I think it'll be pretty substantial. The 74 saddle trappers had muskrat clips that had some belly.

Just reserved 1 of the Autumn Gold Jigged Bone . I had been waiting to see what kind of jigging or color CK was going to put in the description .

Harry, is this the ApostleP SFO or the standard run? I didn't see any differentiation on CK's website, nor did I get a remind notice...

Looks like there's going to be an announcement video on Rob's channel at 10 pm tonight. Should have all the particulars on the SFO...

I am not sure . I just know that things add up for it to be one and the same . Mike's notes just said the Northfield Jigged bone was not known and he also shows a Gabon Ebony . The link shown above say that both will be runs of 50 each and that would make them both desirable to me . If it turns out to be not correct , then I will have to go from there . If it turns out to be correct , then I will be in good shape.

Thanks, John, Harry and Alan!

I have a reservation at DLT for a Snakewood already. Far as I know, all the DLT ones are drop points with the oak leaf shield.

Now I'm wondering if Rob's will be the muskrat or the standard clip. I kind of like the muskrat better.
