Lets talk GEC!

I'm very excited for both of these  I'll probably be getting the Tidioute bone version of both the jack and single spring. I really hope they put the pen blade mark side on the jacks this time too.

I just ordered a 22 magnum in ebony wood! It looked beautiful in the picture. I'm super excited!

So, anybody else hoping for a single clip point #22? It's so comfortable with both blades open, seems like it could be really used hard. Also I haven't found something that the pen blade was more useful for than the clip yet.

I'd really like to see a single blade 22 as well. That frame is begging for a single blade.

Yep, both blades.
Thanks!! I'll add the info to the list.

In a larger knife I kept the larger blade clean in case I needed to cut any food stuffs (I don't really like plastic knives) and would use the small pen blade to open boxes, mail, etc. This knife is small enough that the main blade isn't useful to me in that capacity (although it can work with effort, just like a peanut). So I'd have to carry a larger blade anyway. In that case, I'd be happier if it was single blade like the #06 and #25s.

It'd be so slim and comfortable with just a clip, maybe even more of the gradually curved 15 style clip blade.

I do like the 2 blade though. What uses would the pen blade be better for?

Edit: I agree, in larger knives a pen can be good for smaller or public stuff. It just seems a bit redundant here.

The thought had crossed my mind, but seemed a little extreme.
I seem to remember threads where folks had 3 bladed knives (I think specifically a Case Sowbelly) that the secondary blades were removed making it single blade. The 2 other blades were then given covers and made into a second knife. Not exactly the same here but I had wanted a slim clip blade #48 Jack before they were available as the Diamond Edge jack. Its possible.

Wow, very nice. That red bone is amazing.

Haven't seen it on GECs site yet but Mike's collectorknives site is showing an upcoming run of 66 Jacks with clip and pen.

Feels like a long time coming, going to have to grab a few this time around. I really wish they would do a run with sheepsfoot secondaries.

Any thoughts on the upcoming #92? Just saw the drawings on the GEC site and they look awesome.

I knew the wharncliffe would be a looker and didn't think much about the spear as I already had one of the earlier releases. Big mistake! That Northfield spear is just about perfect for that frame. Much nicer than the original IMO. New shield as well. Ebony or blackwood just seem like the perfect compliment.

That talon looks great. I like that the tidioute will be bare ended. I like the look of that spear as well.
