Is the etch in the website pic the etch they use on satin blades? I'm thinking it is for some reason.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is ready to order! See this thread for details:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
We are sympathetic, just not sympathetic enough to break federal laws. But we have recommended solutions that would actually save most international buyers money.
I guess we could turn whistleblower and get all the other guys a few thousand dollars in fines (and eliminate their ability to ship internationally) - but that isn't the way we roll.
right - many dealers had the #54 SFO, not one dealer in this instanceThis has been the format for awhile. For example, the most recent run of 54's were not available as NF line because DLT had the NF SFO.

2016 Production Totals now up on GEC.
Typically if a dealer asks for an SFO, the factory will fill in with something that won't compete directly with it. For example, if a dealers asked for a run of Northfield #54's, the factory will also make Tidioute models so the economy of scale can ease the production cost a bit. So in most cases it is not like an SFO was given to one dealer, it is more likely that dealer asked for an SFO and the factory added some production numbers to it that would not directly compete with it. From the other side of the isle though, it would be much more beneficial to the SFO if there was nothing whatsoever ran in that model alongside to compete with it.
For example, it is no advantage to me if #77 American Jack knives run with the #77 Barlow. But I understand why the factory does it. It takes time and money to setup for a pattern; and it would be beneficial if they didn't have to tear back down after 500 knives.
Mike, I was referring to my inability to react when knives come up for sale overnight, Australia time.
yes - a pre-SFO warning - now hear this, don't go to sleep, don't run errands, stand by etc...This approach would work equally well for the entire world. LOLAt this point most dealers that offer SFO's are in the US. And of those dealers nearly all post their drops or reservations during business hours (US). For future reference is there a good time range that would work for the U.S. and Australian base equally well?
Thanks for the heads up Tim. I've been curious about the totals for the 14's. I expected them to be high but had no idea there were even more Crown Lifters and Beer Scouts made. They really ramped it up on those.
Not what it said... I have read on fb about another SFO, but I didn't put the "NF" on it. But then I thunk about it and decided I shouldn't make a comment on something that I have no specific knowledge of (not that it has stopped me in the past).Wait a minute, what happened to the comment that there would be at least one more NF #25 SFO? LOL

I have been quite happy with CK's Early Reserve system, I have received notifications for every opportunity since signing up. Since I do not have the desire to chase down hot limited runs, this system works very well and gives me opportunities I otherwise would not have. Thanks Mr. Latham!
