Lets talk GEC!

Just received my Magnum today (thanks Barry!). Here's a few comparison photos with a two blade Pemberton (the Magnum is cocobolo and the Permberton is snakewood). Very, very similar. The Magnum is smaller, but in my opinion, you'd have to do a side by side to know the difference. I'd be hard pressed to say which I like better.

Those photos are very helpful--thank you for posting them!

Just throwing it out there, but I think GEC should flip the #47 frame and make me a Persian... with snakewood covers!

Will and I were just talking tip bolsters-- what GEC patterns would lend themselves well to these?

I'd like to see the #33 as a single spring pen with tip bolsters, slender long pull spear and standard nick coping blades.

Jeff, you got it! the Conductor is a big favourite of mine but I do consider it a bit over bolstered.

White Owl with Clip/Sheepfoot.

The Northfolk they made for Northwoods would be another ideal candidate. 26 Sleeveboard as a single blade.

Then there's the heady idea of a Shadow pattern....

Rob, I can't tell you how many times in the last few days, I have looked at Barry's site, trying to decide whether or not to buy one.
Awesome knife design and great pic!

So, I recently discovered GEC's red river acrylic. Holy heck is it good looking. I need to find a pattern I like with it. Also the name reminds me of a river that flows near my house the "redbank" and a canoe race me and my dad always do, the "red moshannon".

I know this is random, sorry.

Somehow the red river acrylic eluded me. I checked it out agree with you, Allhss, that red and black is nice looking.

I agree with Paul, old world elegance in the machinery of a pocket knife right there.

Looks like the #6 is about the same size as the #22. Both are a little small for me but I like the shape of the #22 over the #6.

That looks amazing! Wish it was more like 3 7/8 but beggers cant be choosers. I will stop stalking the 68 stockmen and pull out some patience, this is a must own for me.

the lines of the #82 look really good, I like that it is even bigger than their 4 inch 81 stockman, muskrat main blade is also a bonus.

It's probably the exact same frame as the #81-- the round bolsters could easily add a 1/16" at each end over the square bolsters.
