Once you have started sharpening them yourself, the best bet is to just shoot them back to GEC and let them sharpen them down to the point they probably should have been before they left.
Huh, I never even thought of sending a knife in for sharpening to take away blade rap. I have sharpened some enough myself to take away blade rap, but I have to say sometimes it can take a frustrating amount of hand sharpening.
I'm happy. Out of the tube, washed in the sink, oiled and into the pocket.

Is anyone else surprised / perplexed by the fact that they didn't do any #21 Bullbusters along with this last run of Mudbugs??? I wish they had.
So I've talked about how my #45 Lumberjack from the 2016 Rendezvous can have a very strong and sometimes rough pull. I have found the culprit I think. It has a track dug into the liner on the pile side inside that matches with the tang of the main blade. I tried to get a picture, but it was tough:

I'd like to make sure this doesn't worsen and stops happening. Any suggestions?
