Agreed. I love the rotten banana bone, but the banana shield is just gimmicky, like something Rough Rider would do.. I'm still going to get one though.

Solid pass on food shields for me. I think the bannana bone would of looked great with a diamond.

If I remember correctly, there was a small run of Churchills that came with the banana shield. Not really my cup of coffee, but folks who got them seemed pretty pleased with them.

I agree. I like the cover but the banana shield counts me out, but the salmon acrylic I’m in.

I'm reserved for an SFO 85 tiger, and on standby for a Tidioute 85 (Oyster pearl-now-Salmon acrylic) and the 99 chestnut. There's no way I'll be able to keep them all, so those of you who missed out will get an opportunity (I'm guessing I won't be the only one in this position or something like it). I'm not sure what to think of the salmon covers at this point. I don't think I like the tulip shield.

Just got an email regarding Smith & Sons Mudbug, due in February. I know the last time they did a run of these, GEC didn't do a run of Bull Busters (#21) alongside them for whatever reason. I wonder if it might be different this time around.

It seems odd to me that now, on their third run of these, they aren't introducing some new handle material.

I hope so. I don't think they've done a run of #21 Bull Busters since I started buying GEC knives a few years ago. Plenty of Bull Noses, but no Busters.

I'd be all over a Bull Buster.
