I'm loving this round of polished stag 85s:

All the Northfield 85 reserves at CK went pretty fast. I logged in as fast as I could and only got on standby for a polished stag. Mike picked some outstanding materials for those I don't even care for the 85 that much and I am super jealous![]()
I wish GEC could drop the erratic dark lines in the their acrylics. This would look better with just the two cream colors.
Same thing with a lot of the Hummingbird acrylic scales on the Churchill’s. This would look better without the brownish maroon lines.

They used them on the tortoise shell 66s. I think they are an excellent touch, and glad to see them again!Hey, look at that new (slightly) serpentine shield. Glad to seen a new shield. Any of y'all hate it yet?![]()
I'd have liked it with a hotdog too, but gotta say kudos to GEC for giving us something new.
It was a while back...got the notification via text message and still wasn't quick enough. You gotta be Johnny On-The-Spot with CK reservesWhen were the 85 reserves open? Did it require a pre-sign up? I got the 82 and 2-blade Lionsteel notifications, but didn't see one for the 85s. Kicking myself for somehow missing it...the polished stag is possibly the nicest knife I've ever seen.

Edit - in my experience, they put up the reserves within 24 hours of when GEC posts a new production schedule.
It was a facebook group SFO I think. Check a few pages back.Even if you're quick it's not a guarantee. I missed reserving a Salmon Acrylic 85 because the website lagged so hard when they went up for reserve, and I tried to log in seconds after the reserve came up, but the time I got in I had to get on standby. I was able to get the Northfield Tiger Maple when those went up, which I was happy about because there is nowhere else to get those.
On another note, what is up with the Northfield African Blackwood 85's? They are on the production schedule but they were never listed on the reserve.
I’m liking the look of these. Are these Tidioutes or Northfields?View attachment 1021072 View attachment 1021073
