Lets talk GEC!

Yeah that's it. This was not a KSF sfo was it? Sharp looking 85. You let that one go? May be an elementary question but does KSF do sfo's with GEC or that is what their Northwoods are?

KSF does indeed do SFOs with GEC outside of the Northwoods line. Some of their more recent ones have involved the use of Blue Camel Bone. The 78s, 66s, etc.

I bought this one off the KSF site a couple years back. Pretty knife. But, unfortunately, it's no longer in the fold.
Thats a beauty! I hope to pickup a mammoth ivory knife at some point, really a unique handle material.

Does anyone have info on the Northwoods Madison Barlow that’s coming out this week? I checked GEC’s site but don’t see any “work in progress” type pics or any other info on the variants that are being made.

Unless I missed something which is entirely possible and I’m not on any social media if pics were posted there...

Dropping 4pm EST Thursday, along with an odd lot of knives from previous runs that didn't arrive on time for the original drops.

Edit: had the wrong day

They never post WIP Northwoods knives. You can usually tell there's Northwoods drop coming because they don't post gec or Northwoods WIP pics for a couple weeks. This happened about a month ago.

Lol, ok I wasn’t specific enough. I got the email about the drop. I’m curious about what blade the knife will have, scale choices, etc. I thought maybe someone has seen this info somewhere that I haven’t.

Also, didn’t GEC at least used to list them on the production schedules?

( cbr1000 cbr1000 , bumped the Northwoods thread, we can discuss this there)

The 2018 Production Totals have been posted. It is always fun to see how many of each variety of knife they made.

Interesting...I don't think they had a correlated pattern designation to the Northwoods Bear Lake before. It's shown as #59 on the production totals.

I'd like to see a whittler or half whittler using that pattern.

Maybe something else to look forward to this year, or to consider for a forum knife....

I noticed that they did NOT differentiate between polished and satin #44s in autumn gold (unless I missed it). Any idea of how many satins were produced?

Surprised that they made so many stag 82s, but I guess not so surprised to find out being that they're still in stock lots of places.

Seemed like there was a lot of fat stag in this run. Not sure if that’s due to the length of the knife or what the deal was.
