Lets talk GEC!

Does anyone have a list of all the SFA'S that GEC has made? Or is it as simple as a very low number on the production totals compared to others made on that frame that year?

I was at a gun show today and a guy had a knife table. He even had a small case that had about 8 various GEC's. Even had a giraffe bone Olde Towne. I asked about them but they weren't even for sale, he just likes to bring them around and display them. :p

Jeff, I think the SFOs are listed separately in the production totals on GEC's web site. They are toward the end, after the Tidioute, Northfield and GEC branded regular production knives.

Hey Jeff, I am familiar with the SFO'S

I am asking about the part knives which now are called SFA'S or special factory assembly

I have an older one, the 2016 parts 92 eureka in maroon micarta. That was the only one made that year on that frame so it's easy to tell. They now come in a special label tube, was just hoping someone had a list of what has been made.

Ah no worries my friend! I think these (SFA'S) are only available at the annual rendezvous. I am going to do some research and try to compose a list.

I probably need to start a dedicated thread to get input from others and make it more easily searchable.

Jeff, even early on GEC made small runs. In my Cuban collection I have several: two etched "Pattern Production Finale" and three marked "Factory Test Production Run."

This is a 1 of 6 only FTPR in burnt stag from 2008.

This is a 1 of 24 only FTPR in smooth 2nd cut stag from 2008.

These are some rare ones, from the top: 2011 burnt stag (11), 2007 pond bone (13), 2008 caribou stag FTPR (10), 2011 ancient kauri wood (4).

So not all the small runs had any special designation on the blades or tubes. #25s and #73s had a ton of small runs in different handle materials. My only Rendezvous knife is this primitive bone #74 from 2016.
