What makes you think they are not?But we had it on good authority that the 35's would be next... Lol![]()
Did you forget the secret handshake?wonder what's the deal.... I haven't been able to get to the GEC website for the past two days...
They could just be Bénigne Gagnereaux fans.
Mind blown...I think it’s pretty obvious what’s coming next. As others have already noted, the images hint at the #47 Viper and also the #74 Mustang/Stallion. Now the #47 and #74 are basically the same pattern, but with the blades on opposite sides (swayback vs. trapper).

Once you have that information, the rest is obvious: they’re going to combine the two patterns, and create a two-spring, two-blade knife with blades that open from both sides. Should look something like this:

Obviously they’ll have to give this knife a new pattern number. I’m thinking it’ll be the #747 (which, by the way, might be the type of plane you would take to travel to Germany, where you could enjoy a sausage platter and a maß of German beer, as depicted in the middle “clue.” See, it’s all coming together!).
The only other thing that’s up in the air is whether they’ll include the lanyard tube like the #47 or not. (I’d vote yes.)![]()
The staff at GEC are having a good laugh at us after the rumors here.
I’m still hoping for a two blade jack knife on the 35 frame.
But it’s safe to say I will add a 47 viper to my hoard.
I’ve never owned a 47 before. At 3-7/8” closed its a tad large for me. I gravitate toward 3-5/8” and 3-3/4” as the “sweet” spot for me.
How on God’s green earth did you just happen to know who that is? Perhaps your other hobby is 18th century French painters? They could just be Bénigne Gagnereaux fans.
This is such an obscure reference to high culture that I had to look it up, and all I can say is I am country bumpkin.
Bratwurst/sausages: equal ended.
What opened those beer bottles? A cap lifter.
Gotta be the new 35 Churchill Key!![]()
I’m always appreciative to BigBiscuit for this one. These pics are all old, and the micarta darkened up a lot over time.
