Lets talk GEC!

I think they are having server issues so if you keep trying you might be able to get through if you want one. They make a great beater work knife. Of course, some folks might not want to drop $130 on a beater lol. Which is understandable.

I knew it was a bad idea to follow up on here... natural linen with a sheath on the way haha. Thanks ;)

Clearly, it is a #74 pattern with a clip and wharncliffe blade, thus both a mustang and viper (with hotdog shield). Henceforth known as a rattlesnake.

If we got another run of saddle trappers (maybe another reference from the saddled horse?) I would be ecstatic.

I was considering it, but found it expensive for what you get. I did go on to the site and see if I could be tempted into it, but it would only let you add one to the cart if you ordered it with the sheath for an even higher price. (This was at 12:02.)

I jumped on the mudbug wagon. I have an old maroon one I got from a buddy and use it as a beater. I figured with this year probably being the last run of thm that I'd grab a natural linen model. I do like natural linen micarta. I've dropped some $$$ this week between this and the blue camel LL #23 I have on the way

Yea their servers got hit hard since this will likely be the last run of them that GEC will make. They are nice knives, but you didn't really miss out on much. I'm sure folks will be listing them as they come in, so if you want one, you should be able snag one off the exchange.

Look how swoopy that clip is! Awesome! I’ve talked about how nice a #14 with that blade combo would be. At almost an inch longer, it’s bigger, but how often does anyone get rewarded with just the thing they were looking for GEC to make?

Regarding the mud bug; I passed up on the #21’s because they didn’t seem like a useful knife for my needs. To me a lock back or slip joint doesn’t change it much... but when that announcement came I felt the urge to go check on them and temp myself. I abstained... I’m proud of myself.
