Let's talk Northwoods

Man there are some super looking Signal Jacks being shown. As some of the others have already noted this run of #93's has been outstanding from start to finish!! Definitely my favorite Northwoods release since the ESKY. Here is the Appaloosa bone I wound up with:

Scott, I need to PM you but I can't for some reason. Can you contact me please? Thanks.

I would like to see more pictures of the FMW micarta, not convinced it’s is a material worthy of the NW brand... close ups appreciated.
I’m curious, what materials are not worthy of the NW brand? Please correct me if I’m wrong but NW has been using Micarta Burlap of various colors on their knives for a while. IMHO it looks good and is just another color that’s been added to the handle material that’s been a staple of their knives.

Not my first knife purchase of the year but it is the first new knife to arrive. I couldn't be more pleased with my first Northwoods. Beautifully made - the sawcut bone is nice and rich, the all steel construction is especially a treat, and the unique spear is going to make for a terrific tool.

Disappointed I missed out on these. (I didn't even know about them until a couple days after the drop, so I never stood a chance! :D) Love that big spear, and the sawcut bone makes that one in particular an enviable knife.

Exactly what I was looking for. Darker handles, not too thick (great for carrying), amazing character and polished like glass. Blade has fantastic walk and talk and the tolerances are millimeter perfect. What a knife. My first mammoth and I’m not disappointed. I like to think about this being on that ancient animal 5 million years ago and now it’s in my pocket.

The nickel silver contrast with the dark amber Mammoth is fantastic! You scored a winner!

T Twat your gonna need to get rid of those moderns in this thread, strictly Northwoods knives. But jeez I'm jealous of that Mammoth...very nice congrats! Looks phenomenal!

It's an exceptional knife, Barrett, I've been carrying it since I got it. I have to say, the shape of the spear was a bit off-putting at first but it has quickly grown on me - I might even say it is becoming a fast favorite. When I saw that these were going to be available in the Red Sawcut, I knew my resolve was going to evaporate and that I needed to at least try. I am going to dare to hope that you can find one at a reasonable price, it is surely a worthy knife.

A couple more glamour shots.

Great photos, Dylan! I've never been overly fond of the Northwoods blade aesthetic, so I don't often take part in the scramble, but every now an then one of them will speak to me. I tried for one of the clip point Northwoods based on the #25 pattern (because I'm a #25 junkie :D), but didn't have any luck. So far this is the only Northwoods I own.
