I know, right. Add on the fact that it's bullet proof, not going to worry about throwing this one in my pocket. The micarta is my favorite out of the bunch. Simple and classy.
You nailed it man. Totally spot on.
- Na, I've said this about three different times now. The 35 is that same pattern as the queen #99 pattern. Derick was quoted as saying that the Indian River Jack was the one he recommended to clients that were up in the air. It was inevitable with Queen going away that an Indian River would be made on this 35 pattern.
I like you strategy much better. @Onearmbladenut WAR!No, no, no, the best way to get a NW is to slowly allow all individual knife photos to load, slooooowly and carefully peruse each one to find your favorite, and then log in and slowly enter your credit card info so you don’t make a typo error.
Another option is to put a NW knife in your shopping cart, then think about whether you really want the knife, make a sandwich, eat sandwich, drink ice tea, then log back on later and maybe hit the buy button.
I think today of all days mentioning war in the same breath as collecting pocket knives may be rather inappropriate and insensitive.I like you strategy much better. @Onearmbladenut WAR!
Ah,Man, it's an ongoing joke.I think today of all days mentioning war in the same breath as collecting pocket knives may be rather inappropriate and insensitive.

Move on.
Oh my, that made my pants get a little shorter. That clip/sheepsfoot combo with the spade shield is just a stunning combo. Well done. Thanks man. It's a recover. Black and White Paper Micarta. I like to call it "The Gambler".

Bruce, the color on those handles are real niceI'm not a big fan of acrylic handles but I do own a GEC 85 with coffehouse acrylic and I love the color, your Muskrat is definitely a keeper.
With the new IRJ inbound, I decided to go rooting around in the knife drawer to look at some relatives. I've had a few of the GEC Northwoods in the past (with the last being the Esky Zulu in 2016), but have moved them along and only have Queen made examples left.
The remaining, left to right - Everyday Barlow, Indian River Jack (2015), Gunstock (all were seconds in this run, mine had a shallow nail nick which I butchered with a dremel, although it's much easier to open now), and Sowbelly

They don't seem to get a lot of carry time, but that Sowbelly is probably my favorite of the bunch, with the IRJ coming in second.
