  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Let's talk Northwoods

The 23 is way too big for my traditional knife tastes but I’m still going to try for a blue camel or mammoth if there’s any and see how I like it

I may attempt to grab a blue camel. The camel bone Northwoods always seem to have a more uniform dye job than a regular GEC.

I wonder what the pull will be like, I barely touch my 23LL because of such a stout pull.

Looking forward to this drop. Hopefully I can snag one. I really like the 23 pattern and find that the pulls ease up a bit with flushing and use. I have one of the older Schrade Fire and Ice 23's from early on, and the pulls of the newer knives is nothing compared to that one. I actually broke a nail on that one.

I have a 2 blade 23 from 2012 and it is for experienced slipjoint users only with it’s King Kong pull strengths! I bet if the blades were allowed to slam closed they would shatter the bone scales 😂

Ha! Yes that about describes mine. It's a beautiful knife - but it's the strongest pull I've every experienced. I need to leave it open halfway for an extended period of time in hopes of loosening the pull a bit. The 23s are great, classic patterns. I love the original 1123s and have a variety of the Camillus Remington, GEC, and Case/Bose takes on the 1123. Hard to beat.

I wonder if they did a couple other covers this year (that didn't show up in last year's totals)? Seems like there is usually a mammoth option on NW drops.
Mammoth 🦣 would be a possibility, but that would require some big chunks for the scales on a 23.

I think that looks gorgeous, what I would call a proper knife.

If I can get past those just buying to make money,do they ship/post to the UK?

Mesquite and Blue Camel.
