Let's talk Northwoods

Think I did good after 2 failed tries. First mammoth too!

Gorgeous!!! 😍

Love burlap, but maybe I should have gone for mammoth. 🤔

I got the notice but forgot. The story of my life trying to buy GEC or Northwoods from that website. Woah is me!
Gorgeous knives, guys!

at least you got the notice, i unsubscribed from their joke of a site among most of the others. no point in getting more spam and having 0 chance at 0 available knives or jacked up prices. i think back then id get it way after the fact anyway. didnt even know until i peeked into one of the groups

Now you are just being salty. :p I need some excitement to ride over my midlife crisis, so the competition to score a knife helps! ;)

alas, weary may be the better word, ive had a few northwoods passed through my heads before but they were sweetheart deals from members who are no longer with us

Red saw cut bone for me as well. Tried for micarta and failed, hell I didn't even attempt the camel or mammoth. Figured everyone was going for those first. I am sure some will be for sale soon from the damn flippers but I'll carry mine.
Is burlap micarta your only preference over the sawcut bone or are do you prefer micarta in general over bone?

I hear you brother... we have indeed lost good souls in the last few years. And yes, I have some fond memories associated with the IRJ... one reason why I tried to jump on this drop.

I did want micarta and that was my first try. Received the sawcut bone in the mail yesterday and more than impressed with this one. I am glad I ended up with it over the micarta. F&F is perfect and the bone is beautifully dyed.

This is the most consistently frustrating experience I've had with drops, I think.

When you are in KSF's site by handle material, you can click on all the listings, and they will show up for a bit even when they're actually out of stock, just without the ADD TO CART button. So you have to click through a bunch of different ones in the hopes of finding one with the ADD TO CART button actually there. Two or three times you do that, and they're all sold out.
