Let's talk Northwoods

What an absolute disaster... is the "add to wishlist" thing new? I don't remember seeing that before... I couldn't tell if the drop just didn't go "live" yet or if that particular knife was already sold and the page just didn't update to sold yet.
That messed me up big time. I ended up passing through 3 of them because of it before I realized they didn't show inventory yet. I finally landed on one about 2 minutes in and I was able to finish checkout with it, but I didn't realize it was a seconds. I'm happy to get one, but to be honest I'm a little concerned about the crack across the front of it.

Managed to snag one in the burlap micarta this time around. Wanted black linen but kept getting the 'wishlist' thing again.

Zilch for me. Two times I got a mammoth in my cart but by the time I got through the checkout process they were gone. At least this time I remembered to check the agree to terms box. Congratulations to those who got one!

Absolute mess!!
And what is up with this 2 drops about a month apart crap?!?!

I tried for 3 different corals (I really dug the pink) and had multiple tabs open, but, like many others, got stuck on the "wishlist " crap every time. As a result I struck out there.
I was able to get a black micarta. So I am only allowed to complain so much.

So crazy..... 8 years and 'I didn't get a sniff on any drops. Now I score 3 within a month!
I like what I got, but have no need for multiples of the same knife. So I'll probably be putting one of the IRJs up on the exchange. Just need to decide which one.

I am a little salty about how it works, but it's not the end of the world, it's just a knife, and there will be another drop next week of something. I can't afford all the drops I like anyway, so missing one is fine.

This is the most consistently frustrating experience I've had with drops, I think.

When you are in KSF's site by handle material, you can click on all the listings, and they will show up for a bit even when they're actually out of stock, just without the ADD TO CART button. So you have to click through a bunch of different ones in the hopes of finding one with the ADD TO CART button actually there. Two or three times you do that, and they're all sold out.
All the listings loaded before they become available to purchase. The “add to wishlist” option was just there until the product went live to purchase. If you saw a listing that said “add to wishlist” and you stayed patient and hit refresh you would’ve had the opportunity to “add to cart” and purchase that knife. If the listing is sold you would no longer have been able to see it on the site. Hope that helps for everyone here that’s confused.

I stayed patient and waited for the add to cart to show up and scored an absolute epic mammoth Fremont

I finally figured this out in time to snag one in peanut butter micarta, but too late to get mammoth.

Peter that is exactly what I did and still didn’t make it through checkout even using Apple Pay. Oh well there will always be another drop. 😀

Yes, that does help, it wasn't clear at all if they were going to be in stock or not, because it seemed like the listings all loaded right at the drop time, but were not live to purchase until shortly after that.

Hopefully I'll remember that in five years or whenever they do another run lol.

Congrats, looking forward to seeing the Micarta 😃
Patience has never been my strong suit. 😆 I saw a couple that reminded me of the IRJ you recently scored and I’m happy you got one. Congrats!
There were lots of great examples again and I’m thrilled with the one I got m, it will fit in well 😃

Sorry to hear that, Dan. I hope you get the faster draw next time!! Wish I was able to score a few mammoths again to share like the HJ’s 😃

You’ll have another opportunity next year. There’s usually two drops a year.
