Send them an email or better yet give them a call. They are real people that love knives and care for their customers.I'm just over here wondering what KSF is doing with my email that I gave them in the box that explicitly states to "sign up here to be notified about future Northwoods releases"? I know none of these set ups are perfect, but when you pass over your contact info specifically because you are being told you'll get a heads up, and don't, whats the point?
Did the same thing with the Mudbug, they gave me the heads up, now I have a Mudbug on the way.
It ain't rocket surgery...
Welp... enjoy them, those that got em! I damn sure ain't paying the flipper prices!
I’d make sure they didn’t get blocked or went in your junk mail . Also give them a call as mentioned earlier .I'm just over here wondering what KSF is doing with my email that I gave them in the box that explicitly states to "sign up here to be notified about future Northwoods releases"? I am not familiar with giraffe bone.
Is it not dyed? Does it have natural orange red green purple?
The Giraffe Bone is dyed and buried for 2 years (maybe up to) in Africa before Derrick procures the bone. As they’re in the ground the colors leach and the earth leaches it’s minerals in - which makes each piece unique and stabilized. Moreover, the covers come from one bone that’s dyed many colors.
I may be wrong on some of the details, but IIRC, that’s the way it’s produced.
Time varies based on how deep they go in the ground and time of the yearDidn't know (or forgot) about the 2 years in the ground part, thanks
You know after reading your post it sounded oh so familiar that brought back memories and is exactly what happen to me on a few runs a year or so ago . Then I called and always got a notification after that .The guys at KSF responded lightning fast to me.
IDK what happened, cause a month or so ago I definitely made an evening of learning all I could about Northwoods and signing up for notification (under two different emails, work and personal). I'm pretty anal about this stuff, so not sure what happened but they didn't have me on any Northwoods specific email list. I was getting the usual KSF newsletter, so I thought as was good.
They made sure I am signed up now (and tossed me a $10 credit, which is cool).
I think from the pictures of my GB I saw for a milla second half the bone was barried deeper and longer then the other side with the deeper hole barring more mineralsThe Giraffe Bone is dyed and buried for 2 years (maybe up to) in Africa before Derrick procures the bone. Fantastic Freemonts!Ended up with a black and a red micarta Fayette...anxiously waiting.
In meantime here is a couple Fremont's in Giraffe and Camel bone...hopefully we will see another run of these in 2018!

I’m hoping my black linen Fayette arrives today. The Fremonts are probably my favorite of the Northwoods. They just look tough and different from anything else. The blade looks beefy. I’d love to find a user Fremont.Ended up with a black and a red micarta Fayette...anxiously waiting.

Nice Freemont Travman! Let us know how the Fayette turns out, from what I understand the Fayettes are actually built on the #55 frame so they should have half stops unlike the 56's? Seems that may make them even more desirableI’m hoping my black linen Fayette arrives today. The Fremonts are probably my favorite of the Northwoods.
