Let's talk Northwoods

I'm a big Northwoods fan but I think I will sit this one out also. I like the blade and the pattern, just not together.
Sure wish they would bring back the Camel Bone handles in a variety of colors.

I agree, miss the orange and black camel bone runs.

I'm a sucker for denim micarta so I nabbed one. I see that was the first of the covers to sell out as well with red jigged bone close behind.

Someone got the denim I had in my cart all the way till checkout...if someone here isn’t feeling the denim when they get it, I got a black one. Damned under two minutes red and denim were gone.

I got a black linen but really wanted a blood red jigged for my dad. I suck at this fast paced stuff...

Enthusiasts will like them, but I question the use of Sabre ground on such a small knife. Yes, I know it's part of the Northwoods style but it's not really practical in this instance.

I only had interest in the jigged bone and went right for it. Smooth as butter.

Some of the kudu were amazing with orange and red coloring.

I wanted to watch that whole thing go down...very interesting and the hype is certainly still very real for Northwoods even the smaller frame pattern. Blue denim went really quick, red jigged right after, black micarta next, there were only a few kudus left at that point but were gone next (about 8 minutes) then the burlap micartas hung around for about 15 minutes.
Congratulations to anyone who tried to get one and did. Condolences to those who did not. I think with a different blade I would have been in on at least one of those but otherwise just a spectator this round

Snagged this beauty, I think the satin bolsters go great with the handles and "rustic" blade... This will be my first Kudu. Looking forward to seeing it in person! Also picked up a Blood Red Jigged bone

Northwoods used Blood Red Jig Bone on 3 previously releases through 2017 (I can't speak to any other releases in 2018).

The 44 Madison Barlow and 53 Presidential in 2014...and the 38 Willamette Whittler in 2015.

I love Northwoods and I'm glad for you guys and gals who got one but I no longer feel the need to participate in the feeding frenzy these timed releases generate just so I can pay $130+ for another knife I really don't need. That leaves more room for those of you who want to play that game. You're welcome.
