Let's talk Northwoods

I regret passing on that every time I see one.
I like it. It’s a sexy clip point on a 15 pattern. What’s not to like.
All the fairly recent Northwoods patterns seem to pop up fairly regularly for about what they sold for originally. There hasn’t been a lot of markup on prices. So, you may see one soon.

Any hints of other Northwoods releases this year? A special 14 maybe?

It was a pretty short conversation. I should have had more good questions prepared. I didn’t hear anything about upcoming 14’s. However, some people here on this forum speculated that there would be a Northwoods release on the 14 pattern.

Yep! I might be wrong, but why in the world would you do a run as big as this 14 run and not include Northwoods??

A junior Lincoln or an upside down 14 mini-Fremont sleeveboard would be so right. I would also buy a little Broadway. A 14 patterned Esky Zulu would sell out in 4 minutes. I would like to see a 2 blade NW, been a while.

I like the way you are thinking. Yes to all of those options.:)

Anyone know who is manufacturing the upcoming Harrison Bay? Is this made by GEC on the #14 frame?

Pretty little thing, way too small for me!!

I love the look and pinchability of the rustic blades but much prefer a full flat grind in use. I’d like to see a few more Northwoods without the rustic blades.
I’m not finding my #14 too small for anything yet. In hand size wise it feels like a #15 with an easy open notch, but without the discomfort of the notch itself. That’s my only real complaint about my Broadway, that notch either puts my hand in the wrong position, or it’s uncomfortable depending on which finger I put in the notch. It’s a little better on the Michigan but I’m just not a fan of EO. It’s also so unnecessary on the Broadway and Michigan with the rustic finish and high sitting blades.
