Libations worthy of the Hinderer Herd....

Hmm, I really like dark beers. Generally if it's a porter or stout I'm gonna dig it, although I haven't spent much time on Imperial Porters. Might have to give this one a try if I can find it..

As luck would have it, I'm having some of my troops over for dinner tonight so I _have_ to go to the beer store :D

So, I didn't find any of the Suede Imperial Stout, but I did find this ^^^. I'm a big fan of all things pumpkin so this is going down well (so to speak).

Life is too short to drink crappy beer - You guys don't have to worry about that from the looks of it :)

Mmmmmm.....I love a good beer (better than wines or liquor) IMO

I agree with you on good beer Rubi! I love those IPA's man!!!

No doubt. I am definitely a Hop-Head.

I highly recommend brews from:

Stone Brewery
Sierra Nevada
Dogfish Head
Wolaver's
Widmer Brothers
Maine Brewing Co.

And of course The Alchemist

I've yet to develop a taste for IPAs, which is unfortunate because I really love the aroma they give off.

If you really like IPAs and run across some of these...

...give it a try. Its a glass made by Speigelau (a subsidiary of Reidel, who makes awesome wine glasses) specifically designed for IPAs. I poo poo'd varietal-specific wine glasses for a long time (after all, I'm a man I'll drink my wine from a box thanks very much) until my wife dragged me to a Reidel-sponsored tasting to showcase how specifically designed glasses enhance the flavor and aroma of the drink they were designed for. This is probably old news to some, but was an epiphany for me. Now I get annoyed when we go out to dinner and order a premium bottle of wine and get crappy glasses. Same thing with this one for IPAs, they also have three other glasses for wheat beers, lagers/pilsners, and stouts/porters.. Did a beer tasting and this glass REALLY concentrates/enhances the aroma and flavor of the brew.

Wow, I am just happy the local burger joint has a mass produced beer I like on tap and it is cold. A semi clean glass is a bonus.

Cigars - Got a box of Arturo fuentes (exquisitos) for Christmas..... my days of sitting and smoking a monster 2 1/2 hour cigar - I dunno.
Anyway, sort of a "Libation stretch" but...
BTW did not have a traditional cutter on me so i deployed my quite capable XM and I was in business.
Good stuff. Little cognac and a cigar.

Those are great cigars, Rubi. I've done the best of best award winners years ago, and don't partake too much anymore. I really enjoyed the Opus X offerings.

Yes. I had a Buddy several years ago and we used to plan listening sessions in my audio room followed by OpusX and Port
Good times.

Wow, can't believe I glossed right over that awesome box of cigars - that's a great gift! Fuentes has some of my go-to favorite lines of cigars, enjoy!

Bringing this one back up!
I was on an IPA kick, but I have recently switched to trying different bourbons. My last bottle was Evan Williams 1783 Small Batch, which was a little sweet with a nice vanilla note, mixed well with Coke. Wild Turkey I prefer not to mix. (And yes, I have been watching Justified...)

Nice, I'm having Woodford tonight. Just finished up a bottle of Angel's Envy a few weeks ago. Love a good bourbon. Huge hop head too.
