Whatever it is, photos are not showing up. That’s gonna be a big issue for a lot of folks.
Some of my older stuff is still showing as it was before. Haven't checked a lot.”Big Issue” is a major understatement for me personally. More like a Fahrenheit 451 event if this can ‘t be fixed. I probably have posted a couple thousand photos spread over hundreds of threads in the last ten years. All are done in .img linked format from a third party hosting site (current SmugMug.) I went back to check a sampling of significant post I made over the years and all my photos show as “X” now. There is no way I can (or would want to) try to edit or recreate those links into another format.
I will be following the outcome of this thread very closely.

I use postimages.org…guess I’ll quit sharing in any pic thread until it gets straightened out. Until then I’ll be carrying the original, true Bowie knife and King Tut’s “meteor knife”. You’re just gonna have to take my word for it. lolYou picture only shows if I click on the red X out box, takes me to the picture hosting site photo.
Just so you know, same thing in the EDCXlll thread today too.
I posted the first image in my post above by copying the Linked BB Code from Imgur, which resulted in the red X error. For the second image (which didn’t get the error) I copied the Direct Link and pasted it using the insert image button on the forum software. You can see the difference here in how they show up in the BB code:
![]()
I noticed a lot of the examples of the error posted here in this thread have that additional URL code in addition to the IMG code. That said, I tried quoting those examples here and removing the URL bit, leaving just the IMG code, and the error still occurred. So it might not be a universal workaround, but if you’re using Imgur and getting the red X, maybe that’ll help.
