Lion Steel "Roundhead" Euro-Barlow

I'd love to do the liners, but with it being pinned it's not really doable (electrically, at least). The bolsters will be super easy, I'll do mine in bronze and gold and get pics before I stonewash them :)

Prices went up a bit due to currency conversion. Paid for my Ram's horn last night... Couldn't decide if I wanted a rough or smooth one, so I left it up to the luck of the draw. Some beautiful work on the sample pieces... Love the elk one, and the abalone is wild!
Yeah that raised an eyebrow for me but, that's ok.

I got on CK's site and have no clue how to order. I had to create a new account and my account information says I have no reserve! The page I get when I search "roundhead" says no product in this category. Still got till Monday.
Yes then something happened and you do not have on reserved. If you did then you would have received and email with a password to order the knife. This prevents people from ordering just yet. Only those who have a reserve. You will get one. They are not sold out. The Palo Santo may gone since it is the least expensive. There was a little "sticker shock" for me.

I would shoot them a phone call. They are a fantastic bunch to deal with. Make sure you have your original preorder email available. If any information is needed (like a reservation number or receipt number), you will want it immediately available.

I called about some of their older locked preorders and some of the new stuff and they were able to point me in the correct direction quickly and succinctly.

I didn't think anything on this knife was pinned construction

I believe Mike stated somewhere that the liners are pinned and the scales are attached with screws. So changing the scales would be easy.
Bingo.

The only thing attached by screws are the slabs and bolsters. This will aid in keeping the action factory spec whole allowing for tinkering.

Don't forget this can also aid cleaning, since now you don't have to worry about chemicals (abrasive or inert) getting anywhere near your slabs, if natural.

I didn't even notice that was an option lol, luck of the draw for me as well. Think I'll be happy with either.

I didn't either when I paid for mine. I had a hard time deciding which one to get and went with the ramshorn on a whim. Seeing the photo of them didn't make me regret getting ramshorn but did make me wish that maybe I'd grabbed a few other versions as well.

Palo Santo on the way! Hopefully I can find somebody willing to put some different handles on it. Hell, if it's easy enough, I might try my hand at it.

I'm going to leave the CF as is just because I don't have anything in CF.
I have some desert ironwood ordered for the Santos.
Then maybe something else later.

Sure a lot of interest in these knives, with the combination of the old and the new. Seems there is a healthy market for affordable traditionals with modern materials, if well made.
A lot of useful information has been passed along on this thread, some in the grey area of acceptable topics for the forum, but all very useful and interesting to the members. Good job of moderating in my opinion.

The elk one is a real knockout against the titanium bolsters. Great looking combination.

I have some micarta, ebony wood and osage all ready to go on some custom covers. TBH i'm more interested in removing the titanium bolsters altogether.

I just ordered a Stag version I was tempted by the wood and the abalone but could only afford one and the sample Ram in the group photo did make me consider it but it would need to be that bluish hue which not sure could guarantee. The up close image on the abalone that CK has on their site was very tempting it looks great but I didn't have the kinda money set aside. That Palo Santos wood just looks great in the group photo and on CK's site.

Looks like they are open to all on their website, grabbed a CF to go with my Palo Santo one.

I got my "maybe" email for the stag but looked at them all for putting my order through. Does look like no slip case unless you add it or at least for those who didn't say "Sure". I passed on the slip though not sure how much good a slip would do if it doesn't clip or attach to something in some way.
