Lion Steel "Roundhead" Euro-Barlow

M390 is a great blade steel, one of the highest end stainless steels out there and has some really good qualities. It will hold an edge like crazy, won't rust, but may be a bit trickier to sharpen for anyone not used to sharpening high end stainless. It will be more difficult to sharpen than 1095 but it will hold its edge longer, so once its sharp (and I am sure it will come that way) its going to take a good long while to get it dull.
 
Was there ever any mention of what Rockwell hardness these are being run at?

Should I be expecting tracking emails? I made my first purchase on Saturday and second yesterday. I'm only asking cause others have mentioned them. :)
 
Just go into your CK account and check the order status. (unless I'm missing something).

I hope I get a dark one!

I specifically asked for one with a lot of variance. Who knows what I will end up with, but I am sure I will be enthralled with it.

I received my tracking email yesterday, but I was a preorder, and I paid the night they sent out the emails.

Yes !!! I ALWAYS receive them when I buy from CK . This time is no different . Mine has been picked up and is on the way .

I will get a few measurements (stock thickness, BTE, handle width, weight, et al) once mine lands.

I got the tracking info today and Friday is my expected delivery date also Bill. I have not posted much in this thread but have to admit I have been quite excited about this one. I really like the idea of one of our oldest and most treasured knife patterns as almost a cross over knife between traditional and modern. I wish now I would have bought 2 one to just put back as a safe queen and one to use. The one that's coming I plan to use the fire out because of my curiosity as to how it performs. I have never owned a Lionsteel knife and do not have anything with M390 steel. If it's anywhere close to the knives I have with Elmax or S35V I'll be very happy. Everybody remember to post pictures when yours come in I'm curious as to how they look particularly the CF covers. I ordered the Santos wood.
