Lion Steel "Roundhead" Euro-Barlow

The mailman finally showed!
First impression: Exceeds my expectations /hopes!
I couldn't wait to get it apart and have a look. I will try to do a small review later but I wanted to share this picture of the insides. You can adjust the blade tension with the pivot screw. I haven't pulled the blade out yet, but will.

I know for a fact mike has opened waaaaay more traditionals then me so he is a much better judge on these things but i feel like my pull is a 6. Maybe 7 but i think thats pushing it a little. Very smooth and the half stop is great IMO

What are your opnions?

ETA: still playing with it. Definitely not a 7 but i give it a 6 for sure. Thats IMO of course

I got some fantastically dark, high-contrast, well-patterned ram's horn. My covers are smooth, which I have no preference on, but the depth and pattern and color are truly amazing. Fit and finish generally excellent. One cover screw is slightly proud of the covers (still well rounded and not obtrusive), probably because the ram's horn covers aren't uniform in thickness for obvious reasons. Beautiful, beautiful knife. I really love the cover in the bottom picture.

Thanks so much Mike! knifeswapper knifeswapper

Here are my terribad pictures.

No stag pics yet, you guys are killing me...mine will be here tomorrow :(

They all look gorgeous, I wish I could've gotten more than one.

My stag will be here on Saturday and I can hardly wait. Was hoping to see some pictures roll in but so far nothing. I'm wondering how much the stag covers will vary from the product picture on the CK site. Will we see some fat, gnarly stag, or will they mostly be thin and "light"??

Mine is a 5, maybe even 4-5.

I am not sure. It seems that most of the slab choices a have been on the thinner side.

I am curious about what my rams horn is going to look like. I asked for one it some variance in it, but now that I have seen some of the darker ones, I like the looks of those...

I will be happy either way, but.I do have to say that the variation that we have seen on the rams horn has been quite wide.

The more i play with this knife the more i like it! The modern materials in a traditional pattern really is incredible! Sooo light which is a big deal for me and that action is o so sweet:)

Did i tell you i like this knife:D great job mike and lion steel Please do more:thumbsup:

ETA: this is the only traditional that i have ever owned that has a flush backspring at half stop
