freshly heat treat damascus CC Knife... these were taken up to 900 grit pre heat treat, the "decarb" will buff right off... they are mirror shiny right under the thin layer

Is the chefs knife on the bottom spoken for??

No it is not spoken for... I'm planning on the Jade G10 and a chisel grind like the one on the other chef's knife. It is like a laser at .049, I plan on grinding it thin but let me know if you have any ideas for it. $150 range for the knife

However it's ground, it would have to stand up to my wife's abuse:eek::rolleyes:

Sounds good! I can put a small microbevel on it when it is ground, that will make the edge tough enough for just about anything. 15n20 is known for it's toughness, it is used for the big bandsaw blades that process whole logs!

Sounds good to me too!!

And thank you for taking the time to post the great pics:thumbup:

Great day of pics Daniel. Love the tantos and that chef knife is killer. Might have to replace my Wustof in the future. Thanks for all the pics : )

Lots of steel you are working on.You are always busy! That is a good thing in these rough economic times!

Thanks BigCountry!

Thanks!

I'll have to make more Chef's Knives soon, I have a couple of bars of tall and thin stock... O1 and A2. More after that too! They are a fun challenge.
