Surface grinder!!

One is high on the list! I spent an entire day just grinding/finishing the flats on the S7 batch and that is very typical. The time savings would be incredible! I hear if you look old ones are not too pricey.
The funny thing is that with that knife I can grind it flat no problem, in fact that is one way it warped! The first time I heat treated it a swift wind picked up right when I pulled it out of the kiln, I actually watched it warp from the breeze. No problem as that is part of knifemaking so I straightened and re heat treated it successfully. It sat for a few days and then I ground the flats, after one side was ground the warp came right back! After heat treat, now that is odd to me. I straightned it but was not happy so I again re heat treated it to no avail! I have never had this happen before but I hear some 15n20 comes rolled, (huge bandsaw material) maybe it just wanted to go back!
