Lock fail pics (graphic)

Was using a sog flash the big one and bam squishy lock feeling and wham straight up lock fail. Deep but only superficial 3 internal stitches and 5 external
 
Was pressing against the spine using as scraping tool essentially to clean crud off my duty boots, was stupid and completely my fault but however just be forewarned it took very little negative pressure to fail. No intentions on striking debates or hurt feelings more of a warning of easy lock fail.
 
Sorry buddy but it looks like a trip to urgent care or the ER will be needed for stitches and antibiotics.

I think it's time for a better knife and obviously one with a more reliable lock. Lots of options in a similar size. If you want a sliding lock that won't close on you unexpectedly take a look at Spyderco Manix or a few different Benchmades that in that blade size.
 
Lesson learned. When cleaning ya boots, use a fixed blade.

I mean, anything other than a folder, knife, spear...sidearm?
 
So all this to say your now selling the knife in this forum for a great deal? I think you need to list an asking price
 
I'd give him $10 off any folder in stock, if I had some on sale.

Then he could throw that SOG folder in the trash.
