Locking UK Penknife ?

+1 on the low ride. That is a great feature.

I ordered the UKPK to hold me over till the Caly 3 comes out. I hate waiting for that brown truck.

Hi Sal, you mentioned on the first page that in the future there might be a ZDP version of this second UKPK would this blade be interchange able with the gen1 non locking UKPK?

I too have ordered myself a UKPK as well!! I will buy any Caly, Jr. that gets made!

I'll get one, provided nothing is changed other than the steel and (new) lock. The G10, the handle shape, everything, it's just great. The ZDP version with a lock I like more might replace my Dodo as my favorite Spyderco. But compression and BB locks seem so conterversial these days.

I'd name it something funny. A mass produced inside joke. Hidden in acronym form. Who knows for SURE that AFCK realllllly means advanced folding combat knife? Joke's on us.

Oh, and someone said it earlier, but I'd DEFINITELY buy a spyderco ska. I don't even have to see the actual knife.

The proto Caly 3 is the same as the UKPK,

Same pattern & size.
The same G-10 (USA).
Same ambi "deep pocket" wire clip (USA).

except for:

Steel which is VG-10.
A mid-lock back (with a boye dent, sorry Deacon).
Dual skeletonized full steel liners.
Jimping on the finger choil (which will be added to the UKPK in the future).
The scales are pinned, but the pivot is adjustale.
It will be made in Seki-City & USA.
It's a tiny bit thinner (about 1 mm).

The proto is a very nice EDC.

Sal, THAT SOUNDS PERFECT! sorry for the caps, I'm a little excited. I prefer pinned scales to screws anyway.

Thank you Sal for making this a knife I can actually buy!
(Adjustable pivot)
Keep up the good work.

I am VERY picky about folders. I only use one, the manix, and I want a smaller folder and I really think this is the one. I'm very excited about this and lost plenty of sleep over it last nite  :D

Hopefully, this will be a production run?????:D :D That way I have some hope of getting one locally - I really don't want to risk losing one of these to the feds.

This is basicly that perfect small folder I've been waiting for ever since I caught the knife disease and found Spyderco. I'll be eagerly awaiting this one for sure.
